Book 3 Kickstarter – FUNDED!

Wow. Thank you. THANK YOU. In less than 24 hours, the Kickstarter for Book 3: Blessed are the Children hit its goal. I am well and truly blown away. I am going to greenlight the cover with Veronica Jones and touch base with the other artists to reserve slots in their schedules. I hope to have some images and text to share with you very soon.

The Kickstarter still has a month to go. I am currently considering stretch goals, including possibly doing up some LFNE dice bags for the sets and looking into an LFNE GM screen. None of that is final, and if you all have any suggestions for LFNE support products you’d like to see, drop a comment here or on the Kickstarter page.

Thank you all again!

I’m not working on this one, so this in no way shape or form impacts me, but I’m a huge fan of Kickstarters like Transhuman Space who have “We will pay the artists/editors/whoever more” as the first stretch goal.

    I second Shawn’s idea 🙂

    – but actually, since there are no miniatures for kid characters on the market, what about a set of cardboard stand-ups of some kids and monsters as a stretch goal?

And congrats Jason for the great success you’ve had with this Kickstarter(and Happy Birthday as well!)

  3. LFNE figure flats would be great. PDF is easy; I’ll have to look into printing costs for cardboard standees though.

Of course you’d have met your goal. As the amount required to see if it’s viable is rather small, and you had realistic expectations.

Not to mention your reputation for Streets of Bedlam and the interest in Little Fears being high.

If anything, I’d probably make a bet on whenever or not you’d get 1000%+ Funded.

Other than highly doubting that LFNE Figure Flats would be viable (unless you think of some Movement expansion/companion, that may clash with the game themes,) as is there actual movement in the game itself?

Custom Character Sheets however (or a new Character Sheet with an extra label to mark if that Child is ‘normal’, or what type of Missing and/or Gift s/he has.) With a portrait of an image/doodle on what the Child thinks s/he’s like, or what the kid appears outside. Could be viable.

Another idea could be if you’re interested. Possibly see on using the same funds to cover Book 4/5 est if you’re willing.

Or alternatively, maybe consider a sort of… Part art book for GM inspiration. (Such as what does Closetland and the other realms ‘look’ like?)

Under an epic goodie bag full of ideas on interesting/unique Hand Me Downs, with their own histories (and possibly curses.) Tales of Children whose heroic antics echoed down to the next generation of children.

And some vague mythology, or possible expansion over what it’s like to be a Child in Medieval times? When you where either a Noble or a Peasant.

Doubt that idea could come anytime soon, but who knows? Especially if I vaguely remember that it’s possible that Closetland exists outside known Spacetime from what I vaguely recall.

So imagine children suddenly appearing/disappearing in Victorian London, as a mild example?
