Out Now: CAMPFIRE TALES #5

downloads, lfneJason L Blair18 November 2011

The newest Campfire Tale is now available on DriveThruRPG and RPGNow:

Kids can be so cruel. And while some scars fade with time, some wounds never heal. These cut so deep, their pain lingers even beyond death. On this quiet Fall day in the neighborhood of Hansom Creek, a past victim of local cruelty comes back to seek revenge on her tormentors. Those wicked children will pay for their crimes.

Something evil is on the wind.

As with all the Campfire Tales, “Dead Leaves” is just $2 for a full standalone episode including two new monsters and four new GMCs for use with this or any Little Fears Nightmare Edition episode.

I hope you enjoy this new episode! If you get a chance to play it, please let me know what you think.

  1. Jason Says:

    Two minor things only:

You mention Davis’… pet? Scamp at one point, with no other mention of it in any other part of the entire book. The line doesn’t even make sense in context.

The adult Churchlands aren’t home, right? Given all that happens in their home. At one point you clarify that they know nothing about what’s going on, but I assumed you meant in general. Still, given that it’s a Saturday, it might help to clarify, unless I missed something.

  2. Jason L Blair Says:

The line about Scamp is an aside to reinforce the fact Davis’ parents cover up harsher facts when speaking to their son. *SPOILER*(Mrs. Carbrill died in the house, not in the hospital. Scamp died but they told their son he went to a farm.)*END SPOILER*

The Churchlands may or may not be home; parents are usually non-entities in most LFNE games. I only mention them if there’s a dramatic reason for their presence.

Praise for Little Fears

"I love this treatment of the concept of playing kids fighting not-so-imaginary monsters, where belief can be a powerful force for good or for horror." ★★★★★
